What We Are Selling
Hostel Kobarid offers shared dormitory accommodation with a range of services. The booking includes a stay in a shared 8-bed dormitory with bunk beds. Shared amenities such as bathrooms, toilets, and kitchen facilities are available for all guests. The price includes bed linen, towels, and cleaning services.
Please note that all bookings are paid in euros (EUR).

Booking, Payment, Cancellation, Refund
Reservations
Reservations can be made online through our website https://hostelkobarid.com, where guests enter their dates and are then redirected to our Beds24 booking page to complete the reservation. Beds24 is our trusted partner that serves as both our channel manager and property management system (PMS), handling the booking process, room availability, and managing reservations.
Once a reservation is made, the guest will receive a booking confirmation via email. Depending on how far in advance the booking is made, the reservation is secured either by immediate payment or by the guest’s credit card details.
If the reservation is secured by the guest’s card details, once the free cancellation period ends, the payment will be processed from the guest’s card, and the guest will be notified by email once the payment is completed.
Individual Bookings

Payment is charged 5 days before arrival, when the free cancellation period ends.

If the booking is made less than 5 days before arrival, the full amount is charged immediately.

Free cancellation is available up to 5 days before arrival.

If cancellation occurs between 5 days and the day of arrival, 100% of the total amount is non-refundable.

No refund will be issued in case of no-show.

Tourist tax is subject to refund.
Group Bookings (6+ guests)

A 50% deposit is due 14 days before arrival (or if booking is made 14–7 days before arrival).

The remaining 50% is due 7 days before arrival.

For bookings made less than 7 days before arrival, 100% of the total amount is charged immediately.

Free cancellation is available up to 14 days before arrival.

If cancellation occurs between 14 and 7 days before arrival, 50% of the total amount is non-refundable.

If cancellation is made less than 7 days before arrival, 100% of the total amount is non-refundable.

The same rules apply if the number of guests changes.

Cancellation during Free Cancellation Period:
If you book through our official website, https://hostelkobarid.com, you will receive an email with a link to manage your reservation. To cancel your booking during the free cancellation period, please follow the link and complete the cancellation process.
If you book through Booking.com, Hostelworld, or another booking platform, please manage your reservation directly through their website or follow the instructions provided in your email with the confirmation reservation letter.
Payment Methods
- We accept major credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, and China UnionPay.
- For bank transfers, guests should email us at hostelkobarid@gmail.com to request a proforma invoice, including their desired dates and number of people for the booking.
- Once the payment is made, guests must send us the payment confirmation. Once we verify the payment, we will send them a booking confirmation.
- If your reservation has not been paid for upon arrival, you can also pay in cash in EUR.
- All prices are listed in euros (EUR). Please note that all bookings are paid in euros (EUR). Currency exchange rates may vary for international payments.
Refund of Tourist Tax
If a cancellation qualifies for a tourist tax refund, the refund will be processed using the same payment method as the original transaction.
The refund will be issued within 7 business days of the cancellation.
Card Payment Issues
If we discover that the card details are invalid or the card has expired when processing payment, we will notify the guest and send them a link to complete the payment for the reservation.
- For individual bookings, the guest will have 24 hours to complete the payment.
- For group bookings, the guest will also have 24 hours to complete the payment.
- If the payment is not completed within this period, the reservation will be canceled.
Check-in & Check-out
- Check-in: 16:00 – 21:30
- Check-out: by 10:00
- Guests must provide valid identification for check-in
House Rules
By staying at Hostel Kobarid, you agree to follow our House Rules, including:
- Quiet Hours: 22:00 to 08:00. No noise inside or in the garden during these hours
- Bed and Room Assignment:
- Upon check-in, each guest will be assigned a room.
- Bed allocation in dormitories is on a first come, first served basis. You can place your belongings to secure a bed or use the provided curtain for privacy
- Room changes require staff approval
- Children Policy: Our hostel is not designed for family stays. We accept guests aged 12 and older, provided they are comfortable with shared bathrooms and dormitory beds
- Key Return: Each guest receives an electronic key card for a locker. Lost or unreturned key cards incur a €20 fine
- Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside the building and on the roofed terrace, but it is advised on upper terraces.
- Food & Drinks: Food and drinks are not allowed in dormitories. Use designated storage boxes in the kitchen
- Visitors: Visits must be approved by the staff in advance
- Alcohol & Parties: Parties require staff approval in advance
- Laundry: Wet clothes should not be dried in rooms. Use outdoor drying racks
- Air Conditioning: Controlled by hostel administration. Inform staff of any preferences
- Waste Sorting: Please sort waste to maintain an eco-friendly environment
- Cleanliness: Guests should clean up after themselves in all areas, including the kitchen and common spaces
- Laundry Facilities: Contact staff for laundry assistance and payment. Hostel is not responsible for lost or damaged items during laundry use
Facilities and Services
- Bicycle Storage: Indoor storage area for bicycles
- Motorcycle Parking: Free parking available in front of the hostel
- Bed Linen and Towels: Bed linen and a small towel (50×100 cm) are provided
- Parking: No private parking. Free public parking is available nearby.
- Lost & Found: Contact us for lost items. We will assist and can send items for a fee
Privacy & Data Protection
Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy. Our website is secured with HTTPS.
Payment data is processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor, using encryption and security measures to protect your payment information. Your credit card details are processed by Stripe and stored in Beds24’s system, which complies with international data protection standards. Hostel Kobarid does not store your credit card details.
The booking page is secured with Comodo Secure. Comodo Secure provides SSL/TLS certificates to ensure encrypted communication between users and servers. This protects sensitive data, such as payment information, from interception. The use of Comodo Secure helps verify the authenticity of the website and assures customers that their data is transmitted securely.
Liability & Security
- Hostel Responsibility: Hostel Kobarid is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of personal property. Guests are responsible for securing their belongings
- Violation of Policies: Violations may result in termination of stay. Guests will be financially responsible for damages to hostel property
- Security Cameras: Security cameras are in public areas for safety purposes
- Compliance with Laws: Guests must comply with local laws. Illegal activities will be reported to authorities
- Intellectual Property: All content on our website is protected by intellectual property laws and may not be used without permission
- Force Majeure: Hostel Kobarid is not responsible for cancellations due to natural disasters, pandemics, or government actions
- Governing Law & Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia. Disputes will be resolved in Slovenian courts
- Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these terms. Changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately. Continued use indicates acceptance
