Hands down the best, most impressive hostel I’ve ever enjoyed! I would return to Kobarid, even travel out of my way to return to Kobarid, just for this hostel. The hosts/owners are amazing, friendly, and spirited. They seem truly happy to host people in their place and share their experiences in the Julian Alps with visitors. We visited in mid December, so the town was sleepy and outdoor sports weren’t really happening, but in the right season, the host can take you paragliding. Sport paradise!

I was very comfortable in my bunk bed, each og which has an outlet, a little lamp, a towel rack, 4 hooks to hang things, plenty of space under for luggage, and a full blackout curtain for the individual bed that allows you to sleep any time of day. the ivy-covered, tiered back yard is also fantastic and the kitchen is big, clean, offers some free food for sharing and has a big tv with Netflix. wish i could have stayed longer, especially with the sweet cat and her two kittens!

Wow! I had the most amazing time staying at Hostel Kobarid. Kobarid, the town, is great – small but with everything you need. Many hiking trails nearby. This is a new hostel (just opened in June) and it is beautifully designed. Feels more like you are staying in someone’s home than a hostel. Super clean. Spacious rooms and private beds with a curtain around them. The people though are what make it truly special. Anna and Yaro who own and operate the hostel and so friendly and hospitable.

Amazing!! More like a hotel, everything is brand new and spotless clean! So lovely to stay here and well worth the price!! Excellent location 5 minutes walk from where bus drops you, excellent fully equipped kitchen, clean showers and toilets and curtains around all beds for privacy. I extended my stay and will only recommend this hostel for Kobarid!
